Wyndmere/Lidgerwood Warbird Coop seeks a motivated and enthusiastic Girl's Assistant Basketball Coach to join our athletic department. The ideal candidate will lead the girl's JV team, develop players’ skills, and promote a positive and encouraging atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and conduct practice sessions focusing on skill development, teamwork, and strategy.
Manage game-day activities, including player rotations and in-game adjustments.
Provide mentorship and guidance to student-athletes, promoting sportsmanship and academic achievement.
Collaborate with other coaching staff to ensure a cohesive program across all levels of the basketball program.
Maintain accurate records of player performance, attendance, and progress.
Communicate effectively with parents, school administration, and other stakeholders.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes during practices and games.
Qualifications:
Previous coaching experience is preferred, particularly in basketball.
Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals and strategies.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work well with young athletes and foster a positive team environment.
Must pass a background check.

The Lidgerwood Public School Gym will be closed July 25-August 3 for floor maintenance. This includes the weight room. Gym fobs will be reactivated for all members on August 5. We apologize for the inconvenience.
There will be a cross country (Gr. 7-12) meeting on Tuesday, July 23 at 7pm in the Sargent Central High School commons area. Contact Mrs. Larson at 640-1212 about transportation to the meeting.
The start of the girl's golf is just around the corner. Practice will begin on August 5. If your child is in grades 7-12 and is interested in playing please contact Mrs. Larson. ⛳️
Congratulations and good luck to former Wyndmere-Lidgerwood Warbird football players Tyler Brandt, Levi Kackman, and Jared Quam, as well as Head Coach Scott Strenge, who will be participating in the 2024 ND Shrine Football Game tomorrow, June 22, at Jerome Berg Field in Mayville at 4:00 pm (9-man game)!!! The 11-man game will be at 7 PM. This will be the 50th Anniversary of the game so it is a big deal this year!!!!

Congratulations to 2024 Lidgerwood High School graduate Alex Kratcha!! He has just been named the winner of a Dakota Valley Electric Scholarship for $1000!!!. Alex is the son of Wayne Kratcha and the late Pam Kratcha. He will be attending NDSCS in Farm Management this fall and plans to farm with his dad as a career. Way to go Alex!!

Just a reminder that if you signed up for Warbird basketball camp in Wyndmere, it starts on Tuesday, 6/4 (tomorrow) and runs through Thursday. The first session for grades K-3 goes from 12:30-2:30 PM. The second session for grades 4-7 goes from 2:45 -5:00 PM.

Notice to Key Fob Holders: Lidgerwood Public School Gym and Weight Room Access
Due to the kitchen refurbishment project, gym key fobs will be deactivated for the summer months. However, the gym and weight room will remain available for use during office hours. Here are the details:
Availability: The gym and weight room can be used during office hours as long as there is someone in the office to supervise.
Office Hours: Typically, someone will be in the office Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. *This is subject to change, so please call the office to ensure that someone is there.
Individuals must stay within the gym and weight room area. There will be no locker room access available. This also applies to all high school students.
