We have received some free child coupons for the Circus Classic that will be held at the North Dakota Horse Park in Fargo (5180 19th Ave N). Showtimes will be Friday August 8 at 7:00 PM, Saturday August 9 at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM, and Sunday August 10 at 2:00 PM. Each free child must be accompanied by one paid adult. Adult tickets are $29.99 and can be purchased at the box office on the day of the event or online at www.CircusClassics.com. Additional child tickets can also be purchased ($15.99). You can pick up the free child coupons here at the school (they will be in the entryway of Door 1 which is open until 5 PM on weekdays). Gates open two hours prior to showtime where you can enjoy pre-show activities like face painting, pony rides, bounce houses and a free petting zoo among others.

The Lidgerwood Public School Board has recently updated the Gym and Weight Room Summer Policy. There have been changes made to allow more access to more students. Please read the policy carefully for age restrictions and guidance. This policy is on a trial run for June-August. LPS is so proud of our participants in the North Dakota Shrine Football Game!! Congratulations to recent LHS grads Chase Cooper, Hunter Dunn and Peyton Theis, as well as Wyndmere HS grad Brian Quam and Warbird Coach Scott Strenge!!! The East Team beat the West, 22-8, this past Saturday in sweltering conditions at Mayville State University in the prestigious game. Not only did these student-athletes and this coach excel enough during the regular season to be named to the team, they also pulled out a victory in the prestigious game!!!! Way to represent for Warbird Nation!!!! Mayville State University is the future home field for Dunn and Theis as they will be playing FB for the Comets this fall. Claw on Warbirds!!! Awesome job to LHS freshman and archery competitor Teegan Bohnenstingl!!! Competing in the NASP Championship Tournament in Myrtle Beach, SC, Teegan shot her personal best in Bullseye with a 288 and shot a 279 in 3-D. Way to go, Teegan!

As part of our end-of-semester alternative assessment, students have the opportunity to complete community service in lieu of taking a semester final exam. We’re looking for meaningful service opportunities that can be completed locally and benefit others.

We have some awesome Math Minds here at Lidgerwood School!!!!
On Friday at the Math Olympics at NDSCS, the fourth grade team made up of Kenley Vig, Gwendolyn Maier, Ridley Stroehl, Grant Kohoutek, Ethan Siemieniewski, scored a 1st place team finish!!! And Kenley Vig earned 2nd place individual honors!!! The grade 6 team which included Jase Kohoutek, Silas Stenvold, Hadley Manikowski, Haedyn Manikowski and Micah Kaczynski topped all others in the team division, while Jase Kohoutek dominated in the individual standings, earning a first-place finish!!!!
Earlier in the week, junior Blaise Frolek attained first place individual honors at the Trig Star competition at NDSCS, while fellow juniors Valerie Mendoza and Cody Witt finished third and fourth, respectively.
Phenomenal job to all of our participants!!!!

Today's softball game with Kindred has been postponed. The Hankinson gym is occupied with a blood drive, so no practice after school today either. We will let you know when a makeup date is scheduled.
