LPS Welcomes New Warbird to the High School

Hello parents and students of LPS! My name is Ms. Megan Toepke, and I recently accepted the high school math position at Lidgerwood Public School.  I will be teaching Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Probability & Statistics, and Pre Calculus.  I’m looking forward to meeting each and every one of you!

Now a little about myself… I grew up in my mom’s at-home daycare, so I developed my love for children at an early age.  After high school, I went to Bismarck State College for my first two years of college and from there, I transferred to Minnesota State University Moorhead where I received my degree in Secondary Math Education.  I did my student teaching at Lake Park Audubon High School in Minnesota where I taught Math 7, Linear Algebra, Algebra 1, and AP Calculus.  Throughout my entire educational journey, I have experienced working with students of all ages and levels.  All of my learning experiences have helped me develop who I am as a teacher and an individual.  I have seen many different techniques, ideas, projects, and classroom management skills that I will be able to apply in my classroom as well.

We are going to have a fun and successful learning experience this year!
